We had a few opportunities the last month and it came down basically to this last one. We had to beat this team in this place. I can't think of a more satisfying win to help get us into the playoffs.

For whatever reason - whether it be the other team playing better than us or us not taking full advantage of opportunities we were presented - we had opportunities to go further in the playoffs if we made it to the playoffs. So you can't say this team has gone south. We just haven't gone as far as we possibly could.

Guys stepped up tonight. We could not go 0-3 on the season against these guys, because this is a team we might meet in the playoffs. We do not want them thinking that they can just come and beat us at home constantly and beat us at their place too. They are a good team. We are a good team, and we played well to get a win.

In the big picture, we've just got to gain momentum. Everybody makes the playoffs. The hottest team and the team that can execute in the playoffs, that's the team to beat. It doesn't matter what your record is.

We played solid all the way through. We beat the best team in the West at their place. If we keep playing at this level, we are going to put ourselves in great position for the playoffs.

We beat them with our full team before, and they beat us twice. It doesn't make any difference. If we face them in the first round of the playoffs, we'll be ready for them. The playoffs start next Saturday or Sunday. I'll be ready.

Everybody has zero wins and zero losses. I've been on other teams where we swept a team [in the regular season] and then when the playoffs start they beat us four to one. Playoffs are a different game. I don't really think too much about who we play. You just have a team you are facing and you just need to win the games.

I'm tremendously proud of our team and the effort they gave. We beat a very good team that was playing its best basketball. To be able to be able to beat them speaks volumes about the distance our team has come in the last month or so.

We've had a few opportunities here in the last month, and it basically got down to one left. Fortunately, we were able to get over the hump.

I was so disappointed when we lost to them at our place. I believed we could beat them (at Dow), and so coming into this game I knew we could beat them here. ... It's not satisfying at all, because we're not going to the playoffs. You know, we've pretty much had a disappointing year, not living up to the expectations on going to the playoffs nor winning the division, things like that.

You can see how close it was for all these teams to get into the playoffs. Anybody really had a chance to beat anybody. The league wanted pretty much an even league and that's what they got. I think the No. 8 seed (in the playoffs) can beat the No. 1 and the No. 7 seed can upset the No. 2 seed and you can just go down the list. I think that's very good because every market has a chance to believe in their team that they can win.

They're not going to let Chipper and Andruw beat them [in the postseason]. He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy. They're going to make the rest of the lineup beat them. So it was big for us to be able to come through like that and get some hits like that. Hopefully we can continue to do that up to the playoffs and through the playoffs.

We had our opportunities. We had some real good looks, both inside and outside, and we weren't able to knock down shots. That basically was our demise, because we definitely had an opportunity to beat them here.
