There's no waiting for the technician to show up at your door, no struggling to communicate via phone what's happening to your computer and no turning your equipment over to an unsupervised and disjointed repair process. The consumer simply watches as the technician points and clicks through the training or repair.

If there's damage to the service mast (weatherhead) or the meter socket, that's customer-owned equipment, and a licensed electrician needs to make repairs to that equipment before we can reconnect. After a licensed electrician does that work, the customer calls us, lets us know the work has been completed and then we will restore service.

It's a satisfying job, ... You have to do so many different things. You have to be somewhat of an electrician, an explosives technician, equipment operator, carpenter, geologist. It's not like going and sitting on a production line every day.

Our equipment we thought was fine. But when you get out there and start fighting it for 20 or 30 hours straight, equipment starts failing. And so we need a lot of repair on some of these older trucks.

Generally, they're very eager to resolve issues with their customers, to make accommodations to retain the customer. It's much easier to retain a customer than to find a new customer.

When it comes to exercise equipment, you really do get what you pay for. The low-end stuff won't have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive equipment, plus you'll have more maintenance issues and it's likely to wear out sooner.

Yes, we do have standards for all the equipment used at the screener checkpoints, ... And they're recalibrated if they are moved. They're checked on a regular basis.
