en One of the things we had with Brian was someone who could really wear out a team by getting to the foul line and putting their team in jeopardy with foul problems. With the new team, we have to the same thing by driving. We were able to do that tonight.

en When you hit your foul shots, you make the game tighter. But we are extremely proud of this team. They came out and competed against a very good Division I team and they didn't back down.

en Coach has said all yearlong that teams were going to try to stop [me] and Christie. And that [everyone] is going to have to make their shots. That's what they did tonight, and when they do that it makes us a dangerous team; it makes us a hard team to beat.

en We had our chances against a good Clarkton team and just did not get it done. We missed a lot of easy shots the first half, got into foul trouble and then stopped scoring. Hard to win when you allow the other team to shoot 26 more free throws than you do.

en It was a good competitive effort against a team that beat the No. 9 team (Moberly, Mo.) in the nation by 10 points a few days ago. We got a lot of good shots tonight; they just didn't go in. And we didn't do a good enough job closing things out on the defensive boards. We gave Three Rivers too many extra shots.

en I got into a little foul trouble, and we, as a team, missed some shots. They came out with energy and kept it up.

en (A) total team effort tonight. We played like a totally different team. Kobe is an awesome player. He makes shots, gets fouls, fun to watch. He may have got 41 but we got the win.

en It's contagious. Once a team starts missing, everybody misses. And we're not making foul shots right now.

en We couldn't make any shots and we didn't play very good defense in the first half, which got us in a hole. I give them credit - they're a heck of an offensive team. They're a tough team to guard. We shoot 38 percent and the other team shoots 53 percent, it makes it tough.

en We wanted to make them come man-to-man, and once they were in man-to-man, we wanted to just go at them and go to the basket. Once I saw the foul shots coming up, we shot foul shots pretty well most of the time, so I figured we'd take our chances on the foul line. en I feel so bad for our guys. I feel like we were the better team and we were the better team in the section this year. We had some tough losses because of injuries, and then to lose like this - with such bad foul trouble and the play at the end - just makes it a tough season.

en My team didn't quit, after not playing well in the first half. We got key rebounds, hit foul shots and were able to finish.

en We usually shoot the ball better than we shot tonight. We normally make those (shots). When you play a team who makes shots and you don't, you can't really be mad at that.

en We couldn't have won this game without the total team effort. Austin was the catalyst, getting in there and hitting those big 3-point shots. There were multiple plays he made in the fourth quarter, and that's what makes us a talented team.
