We talked a little ordsprog

en We talked a little bit about using our team speed, and we get walks and end up on second base and have a nice cushion there. We took advantage of the chances we had.

en It all starts on the mound. We couldn't catch walks, and that gave them an advantage. They're the No. 3 team in the country. You can't let anyone get on base for free, especially not Mississippi State.

en We just couldn't get a hit when it counted all night long. We had our chances. We left a ton of kids on base. It's too bad. Pius gave us chances to win and we didn't take advantage of it.

en It was nice to finally get a big inning. We got three big hits in that inning, and we also had some girls get on base with walks. When you get runners on base, good things can happen.

en It took us a while to get on track. U-32 is a nice team, and they took advantage of those opportunities quickly. We didn't create a lot of chances.

en It was his decision. Really, we just talked about the options and what it would be like. He liked the fact that that team has so much speed. His first choice was Nashville. It's a good fit for him with the skills they have up front and with their speed. Paul's speed is perfect for them and he's going to do well.

en It was nice to have a big inning like that. In between games we talked about adjustments at the plate. We got on base and made them throw the ball all over the park. It was a total team effort.

en We saw some opportunities where we could take advantage of it, because overall we have pretty good team speed. We'll probably have to move some runners around a lot early because we've had some problems making contact, not seeing much live pitching yet. That was also part of the reason. Hopefully, as the bats warm up a little bit, we might be able to take our chances swinging it. But right now we've got to try to generate something.

en I told you guys the other day that he is the catalyst. It seems like if he gets on base three times a night, he scores three times. He knows how important he is to our team. He's been great. So hopefully he will continue to get on base and take his walks and be J-Roll.

en North Providence is young. They're inexperienced. They have some goal scorers. But I think we have the skating advantage. They're obviously a decent team or they wouldn't be in the playoffs. We don't take any team lightly. But I think we have the speed and depth advantage.

en We had plenty of chances, we just didn't take advantage of them. Miami's got a very good basketball team, but we had the chances and never could get hold of them.

en It's nice to go into the half with a little bit of a cushion, but I thought what won us the basketball game was the way we defended on that end of the floor. And, there's going to be times in the game when things don't go your way, but if you play consistent defense, that's going to be to your advantage.

en We were hurt by too many walks and hit batters. They had eight or nine runners on base by hit-by-pitch or walks.

en He wanted to play. We let the team decide that. Porter's a competitor, and they voted to let him come out. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. He's a competitor from the time he walks on the practice field to the time he walks off. He's a nice addition to our defense.

en It's definitely to our advantage. Our team is fast, and having more space gives us advantage with our quickness and speed.
