en He's an important part of this team, and it really didn't look like he was going to get the form back. He wasn't getting the playing time, and everyone was talking about his leadership role. 'Blah. Blah. Blah.' But Steve wants to help us with his play, not just his leadership. And now he's one of our best players again.

Most teams have to cut down 18 or 15 players and bring eight of them back. So, I think it will be a very competitive game for the most part and I look forward to seeing these young guys play.

en Many of them are among the better players in the conference. You don't see coaches going overseas to bring back guys who aren't going to play. They have to be high-level players.

en Leadership is something we often talk about but is usually an intangible quality, ... Leadership has to come from many places - the head coach and the coaching staff, for sure - but ultimately it must come from the players themselves. That's why the Leadership Committee will be such an important facet of our football team.

en If we play great and bring an intangible package that you need, and we play well, then we'll be right in the game. Our respect level for (the Mavericks) is great, yet my respect level for my team is high. Knowing that if we do play really well that we'll be in the game, and if you're in the game you have a chance to win.

en These three players were named team captains after a vote by the team. I feel that these three players are tremendous leaders. Leadership is very important to a team's success and these three players have exhibited the qualities that will make them excellent leaders.
