We're going to give them [today] off because they deserve it and need it. Tonight's result was great news because a lot of you say we live and die by the three, but we proved that's not necessarily the truth. In order to win, we have to play good defense and take care of the ball and we did both of those.

Tonight we have to take care of the ball, play good defense and rebound. We need to do that in all four quarters, not just the fourth. When we do those three things, we have a great chance of winning.

In order to win games you have to rebound and you have to play defense. Rebounding is something we've done in all our games and we did a good job today. The defense comes from the heart and we played well tonight.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

I think we have to take care of the ball in order to get some quick shots against them. They are obviously great athletes, great players. They get the ball up and down very quickly. We are going to have to find a way to work with that so we can get back and give ourselves a chance to defend.

It was a big, big weekend. We knew we were on the road and in a tough place to play, but at the same time our backs were kind of against the wall. Our guys did play well. I thought we had good intensity and we worked hard. So did Northeastern, but in the end we were one goal better tonight. But the result could have been very different. I thought they did deserve a better fate tonight.

We but the ball in play a lot tonight. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. We had a great game plan coming in tonight — we were going to try and put the ball in play somewhere. I thought that we executed well at the plate. The plan for today was to put the ball in play.

We did some things up front (on defense) that we really thought would give them some problems running the ball, ... We played a lot of guys on defense and they came through. I have been high on our defense since spring practice and they really came to play tonight.

We earned it offensively. We hit the ball well tonight. We didn't play very good defense, and we haven't played very good defense the last couple of games, but we've been hitting the ball.

We played a good team game tonight. We played good team defense and we passed the ball well. We took care of the ball well and we shot the ball well. I think we came out really focused on what we had to do tonight.

I think the difference tonight was taking care of the ball on first contact and blocking better at the net, ... We got great serves tonight and we got solid play out of Jaclyn Toohey and Katie Kramer . We had more confidence as a team and really showed that tonight.

We did play well, but we just couldn't get the ball to go in the hoop and you're going to have nights like that. On a night where we shot a little better, that's a game we probably win. Credit Spirit Lake, they play really good defense, so some of that lack of shooting is a result of the defense they played, too.

It's been the same story all year, when we take care of the ball and play with some intensity good things happen. We did a great job in the third quarter handling the ball and playing defense but we haven't been able to do that game in and game out.

I don't care about points or stats or anything like that. All I care about is seeing our team play with great passion on defense. You can't be a good basketball program unless you truly believe that defense wins championships. We're getting there.

That's what we're going to do (tonight), play all of our big men. We've got a lot of fouls to give, and anytime they can step up and give us a little bit ... Edwin Shorter is doing a good job of helping out with defense in the back. We really think we can come into here and play Fordyce a good ballgame.
