In the first half we trapped their screens a little bit and they made us pay for it. He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm. We knew we needed to lock down on defense in the second half and we did. That was really the difference.

We made some shots in the second half and that helped us. But we also got more aggressive on defense and that made a difference for us.

We couldn't press like we wanted to, but our pressure defense in the half-court set was great. We took their big guy out of the game, and that really made the difference.

In the second half, Arkansas clearly was fresher. We did not have the energy to speed things up. Their size and athleticism made a difference. We struggled with our interior defense, and got dominated under the boards. It is hard to win when the numbers come out this way.

I think (defense) was the difference in the first half. And then again in the last seven or eight minutes, I think the difference was our defense.

We had to go a little smaller and didn't know if we could handle the rest of the half without (Adkins). I thought Walter Wilson stepped in and did a nice job. He made a steal and a score, and then a 3-pointer. I though that made a big difference for us in the last stages of the half.

We shot better in the first half, but played better defense in the second. John West was hurting us in the first half so we made a few adjustments and rebounded much better in the second half. We didn't let him get many second chances in the second half and we put a hand in their faces when they attempted three-pointers, too.

I really thought the difference was our defense in the second half. (Enright) had a tremendous first half.

Our defense was the difference tonight. This is my fourth year coaching and I've never seen defense like that. Holding a team to four points in a half is impressive.

They were creative, and they made some good runs and some good plays. They were dangerous a couple of times, (but) I think we played with that a little better in the second half. The difference in the game was as simple as rebounding. In the first half we didn't block out. We forced tough shots, but we gave them three or four opportunities. In the second half we owned the defensive glass and that made a difference because we only had to defend for three or four passes and then we forced tough shots and rebounded the ball.

They (Howard) made one three in the second half. Our defense got better in the second half. We are getting better and everybody made a contribution tonight.
