I know who Mark Buehrle is. I knew it would be tough. We got ahead and put up some runs and from there I was just trying to protect the lead.

We knew what we had to do, we just weren't tough enough in the second half to maintain the lead or carry out the lead. That's what it comes down to when you're playing a tough team on the road. You've got to be tough.

Only two runs ahead, you'd go out there trying to hit corners. But with a three-run lead, I don't want to walk people. I tried to get ahead in the count, and I left a pitch right down the middle for [Posada].

We got to Lap 16 and I thought we were going to be OK. The first caution came and then two more. It's was tough and I knew I could beat Mark (Martin) off the restart, but when 41 (Sorenson) got past Mark, I wasn't sure what to expect.

It's good to score some runs and get some runs for the pitchers. Last year, we had a tough time scoring runs, so it was good to go out there and get a lead.

The way Buehrle pitched, it seemed like they didn't need a sign. Everything Buehrle pitched was right down the middle of the plate—sinker, slider, changeup, whatever. He didn't have the stuff. I asked him what happened, and he said because their average is better here than on the road.

It gives us a lot of versatility and flexibility. Looking ahead, we've got a lot of good young players coming through the system. As they make their way, we'll have some tough decisions down the road. I'm just glad to have this one bat in our lineup that can drive in 100 runs, hit 25 to 30 home runs at least, and in our ballpark, maybe more.

A little sloppy at times, but we knew it was going to be a tough game. We're a team, with the tempo we play, lots of times we play in runs. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. We felt like we eventually could go on a run and get a pretty good lead.
