That was the worst ordsprog

That was the worst thing that had ever happened to me. I'd pace back and forth watching the team wrestle (at state) and I knew I couldn't wrestle. I think about it a lot.

I told myself to just go out and wrestle, wrestle hard and everything will take care of itself. Joe had the opportunity to wrestle at 189, but for the sake of the team he wrestled at 215 so a teammate could wrestle in the region. He could have had an easier time qualifying for the state at 189, but you have to admire someone who puts their teammates first.

Every one of those matches was a state-caliber match. That's what helps you get better. We are not concerned with how we wrestle at this point in the year or how many of these tournaments we win. Our eyes are on the state tournament at the end of the year. We just want to wrestle as tough of competition as we can.

They did what we expected them to do. We told them not to pay any attention to the team race, to just go out and wrestle for themselves. If they do that then the team points and the team title will go with it. This is the second season and they were looking forward to wrestling for themselves. They're feeling confident; they have a goal and if they wrestle mistake-free, we should win it.

I think we've got a good chance to get a lot more guys through to district this year and that will help our team score. It's just a matter of how we wrestle on that day. If we wrestle to our full potential, I think we can do very well as a team.

We have to wrestle the best we can possibly wrestle to get a trophy, but it's possible. We've got five guys who will represent us very well. We're in it to bring back some hardware.
