Luke and Christian didn't ordsprog

Luke and Christian didn't try to do too much with their hitting. Some of the guys are pressing too hard at the plate.

We didn't hit the ball hard. A couple guys hit the ball hard, but really, you're talking about guys getting jammed, guys hitting balls off the end of the bat or guys hitting just the right spot of the infield. We did a good job of placing the ball tonight.

We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.

He has done a great job behind the plate. Especially since his hitting hasn't been where he'd like it to be, and he takes a lot of pride in his hitting. He has worked hard.

I just think the guys are pressing, and there's no reason to press. We're doing some stupid things at the plate right now.

It seemed like he was pressing and trying to hard at the plate. Hopefully he learned something from it. I'm not concerned with him. He's a solid player.

We kept it close into the third period so we didn't have to make up as much ground. Luke kept picking up the pace, which is what we wanted. We feel like most of our guys can wrestle eight or nine minutes hard.

Really the last couple of times out we've really done a much better job of pitch selection with our hitting. We are hitting pitches we can hit hard instead of wasting at bats on stuff that is crappy. We've really looked very disciplined at the plate mentally and the results are you are going to hit the ball harder.

Luke did very well. He has worked very hard on his diving. Luke is close to breaking a school record for 11 dives. He broke the record for six dives. Luke still has a good shot to break it at states.

A strength of our team is that we do have a few guys hitting the ball well. We hit metal all through the spring trips. If we are aggressive at the plate, hitting can be a strength.

I'm concentrating more and I'm relaxed at the plate. I am a lot more confident. I'm seeing the ball better and just hitting it hard. I think I've been practicing hard, and that has helped me to become a better player.

We didn't end up pursuing either Luke or Ian real hard. Daniel was the first we went hard after, and then Ben and then Ryan and then Stephen. Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness.

There was definitely a sense of minor relief in the dugout tonight. They've been pressing a little bit. ... We had the one big inning (a four-run sixth), and it's contagious. Guys started hitting.

We've faced some good pitchers, but some guys have also been pressing and putting too much pressure on themselves. We finally had a good day at the plate.

As far as pitching goes, it was pretty even. Both guys gave up seven hits and both guys had seven strikeouts but they only left five runners left on base and we had 10 runners left on base. If half of those guys score, it's a tie game and we're right back in it. Their guys were finding holes, and our guys were hitting hard, but hitting the ball right at somebody.
