On fourth down you ordsprog

On fourth down, you have to go to a guy who can make a play for you. On fourth-and-17, what are the chances -- 5 percent? You go to the guy who has a chance to make a play -- go up and get it.

You've got to play and the bottom line is that they kicked our (expletive) up front. When you've got a good quarterback, you've got to protect him. We didn't do that. We had a chance to make plays. Right before the ball was snapped, the linebackers all shifted over. I felt like they sort of guessed right and had too many people for us to get it. It was a gut play and I've done it before. I had a big one on fourth and 1 against New England. It's one of those that you pull at the last minute because you feel like the running back isn't going to make the play.

This spring and this upcoming season, when I have a chance to make the play, I'm going to make the play. We're not going to focus on missed opportunities. If the opportunity is there, I need to make the play.

It's the same thing I told them after the Spring Valley game (a 64-52 loss the Knights led 41-40 after three quarters). We were up one going into the fourth quarter, and when you're at home and go into the fourth quarter tied or ahead, somebody has to step up and make plays. It's not OK to get beat in the fourth quarter at your own place.
