en It's always tough to lose, and certainly the way it went down there. We had so many power plays throughout the game, and you know they're going to get their turn.

en It's a matter of playing our game. Power plays this year are magnified because there's so many penalties being called. In all the games, you're going to get some power plays if you skate. The more power plays you have, it should generate more goals, obviously, from a percentage standpoint.

en Every game is about special teams right now. We know that power plays are going to win or lose games the way it is now. Our guys aren't getting held up, so that gives us an advantage. We've got a pretty good power play.

en That was a tough one, real tough. We had some costly turnovers at the end. I thought we pretty much had the game in hand. But they got those two free throws and then we turn the ball over. Those were huge plays.

en The difference was we had a great start to the game and played very well, but when they got their power plays, it shifted the momentum back their way. We did a lot of things really well today. Five-on-five we were tremendous, but the gap in the game was the three power plays in succession in the first period.

en We hadn't paid the price for it yet. Tonight we did. A couple of tough plays and we lose the game.

en It was a fun game to play in and there were a lot of big plays being made and I tried to give our team a lift. It was just tough that someone has to lose all the time.

en This isn't July, so do the math. If San Diego plays .500 ball, we can only lose five more games the rest of the year. It's going to be kind of tough. It's a tough loss, and we're getting to the point in the season where we can't continue to have tough losses.

en We scored on that power play near the end after they had a lot of chances. That's tough going in the (dressing) room after that number of power plays and realize you are trailing by one.

en Any time you lose, it's tough. There are always 50 plays where you could have won and 50 plays where you could have lost,

en It was a tough game for both teams, because we were both coming back from spring break. I'm very proud of the way we played. We hit the ball well, ran the bases well and executed some nice squeeze plays. We also hit for some power.

en Tough way to lose a basketball game. There have been a lot of close games this year. At the end of games, you've got to rise up and make plays.

en The last time we played them we lost 4-1 and Wisconsin had three power-play goals. We have to do a better job of killing power plays and really focus on what we need to do for ourselves. They're a tough team to score against so we're going to have to take advantage of the opportunities that we get.

en There was some confusion at one point because you sometimes mix up match and game. I told them we couldn't lose a game or we'd lose our No. 1 power rating. I meant to say match and I said game. They were all freaked out and I just started laughing.

en We have to play better. If we think we're a good defense, we better start showing it. We didn't make plays when we had to. We gave up a couple of big plays. We had a chance to win the game.
