I was very upset with the way we began. We were under siege there in the first period. Down 3-0 going to the third, it doesn't look good. But we could have easily gotten a point (by sending the game to overtime) and who knows what would have happened after that.

You can review and play the tape. Both teams are dead even. Look at the series. First game is an overtime game and we won. The second game is 4-3, a one-goal game. The third game was 3-2 going in to the third period. (Thursday) night, same thing, it's an overtime game. It's a fine line.

It's a fine line. If you look at the series, the first game was an overtime game, the second game is a one-goal game, the third game was 3-2 going into the third period, last night was 2-2 into overtime.

I thought we played a great game tonight. I thought we outplayed them. Trumbull has a good team. We jumped up on them, they broke back with four straight goals, we outplayed them in the third period and overtime, but they got a lucky bounce. That's what can happen in overtime.

It doesn't do you any good. It's over. You can send stuff in and it doesn't change the game. I am not sending anything in. It is done. I think the officials in this league, in my opinion, do an excellent job. We obviously had a disagreement on that play, but I felt they did a very good job. I just didn't agree with that call.

There was definitely a sense of urgency in overtime. We went into the overtime period knowing we hadn't played our best game totally. The way (Florida coach) Gerry (Fleming) put it was we had opportunity to right our wrongs. So I think all of us turned it up a notch.

We came on strong in the third period. But once you get to overtime, anything can happen. They were able to chip away and get a couple in the second period and got the momentum. Anytime you have a 3-0 lead, you should be able to close out the game. No excuses.

I would have liked to beat them. But I was pleased. We gave them a good game and (were) able to achieve a great comeback and challenge them in the overtime period.

The sending off was a turning point to a certain extent. For me it is not even a sending off, it was a minor incident that was blown out of proportion and overshadows what was potentially a great game of football.

It just seems like that kind of stuff has happened to us in the third period when we have a lead. Hopefully, we can use this game as a turning point in the season.

I don't know, does that win you a game in overtime or erase a six-point deficit [against Virginia Tech?]

We were a little bit upset by that overtime loss. We knew we were the better team, but it wasn't our night. Today in the first half, a lot of things worked for us. Maryland didn't quit. They fought back, and they gave us another good game.

I think we're doing good. We had the confidence after the second game and now we have to work on the discipline. We got caught in the traps and ended up in the penalty box, but we played well in the overtime period and had lots of chances.
