en Players' feelings are hurt when they don't win during practice. And that's a good thing. She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness. That shows competitive nature. Hopefully, we can take that on the road and use that against Rockford in our first game.

en The team is really trying to focus in and guys are really going at each other in practice extremely hard, probably the hardest all year. That's good to see. When you bring that competitive nature to practice, you know you'll bring it to the game.

en We put a value on everybody, and we look at a player's ability and what players are going to be doing down the road. The system we use - sooner or later, somebody is going to get their feelings hurt.

en We started to put our intuitions and our feelings aside in the second game. We could have gotten out of our deficit with the way we were starting to play. Sometimes Mother Nature steps in, and that can be a good thing. At least we walk out of here with a little pride in our pockets from performing at the end.

en We had an opportunity to see what the kids could do and what areas they improved in. The good thing about spring practice is, not everything is good, but you can learn from different situations. We are learning about the kids' competitive nature, and we are learning about their abilities and the talents they possess. Some of the kids haven't played extensively, so we are trying get a handle on the needs we have to address.

en The hand is pretty good. It reminds me of earlier in the year when I hurt my wrist. Today I wanted to get out here and practice — not necessarily for the game Sunday but practice in preparations for the first playoff game.

en They have some players. I think at moments we hurt ourselves. We have to try to limit the mistakes. But we knew it was going to be a competitive game. We didn't think it was going to be a give me game against Loudoun County.

en And these fans sensed before Game 3, ... that their team could get beat. It's true. Good players to role players need home. Those players feel more comfortable at home. They're more likely to know their favorite spots on the floor at home. They're thinking, 'If I get [the ball] right here.' No, the great players don't need that. I loved to play on the road. Kareem would get that look in his eye on the road some nights. But you have to look at the teams involved.

en We have that every year so it's no big deal. Everybody's a professional, nobody's an idiot. We all know each other. We're all friends. We get on the field and it's competitive and it's the same way in practice. It's part of football. I don't think it carries over into the game, and I don't think anybody's trying to hurt anybody.

en We try to play the game on the practice field. Any time players can feel in a simulated-type atmosphere where it's like a ball game, they like it.
