en All we're focused on is Virginia Tech. We're going to review our notes from the previous match. Unfortunately, looking ahead is a great mistake that young kids make. They can get a little ahead of themselves. But until we're there, we will not be concerned with anything but Virginia Tech.

That?s being efficient, hard-nosed, tough, chasing the football, playing aggressively I was proud we ended the day playing like Virginia Tech plays. I thought our kids gave great effort. en We knew this game was going to be close. Virginia Tech had played that way their first four games. We had to be tough. We weren't really sharp, but I was proud of the way the team came out at halftime. We played pretty well once we got going.

en It just proves that we're still Florida State. Before the game, everybody was counting us out. Virginia Tech was a two-touchdown favorite and nobody gave us a chance. Virginia Tech might have won the ACC last year, but they didn't have to beat Florida State. This is still our conference.

en I made this statement many times. If we can just get the best players from the state of Virginia and keep them here at Virginia Tech, then I really believe we'll play for a national championship, and we've been able to do that once and hopefully we can get back to that game.

en Virginia Tech played one of their best games of the year over the weekend and came away with a big win at home and they've got a little momentum going. From that standpoint it will be a tough task. This is a team that is very capable and looks right now that they've hit their stride. It would be a great win for us to get.

en Abel just played great. He had a great game receiving and a great game on defense, with a bunch of tackles and a couple quarterback sacks. He played his butt off.

en We want to go out and get better each game no matter if it's Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia Tech. We just have to get the ball rolling so once we're into those bigger games, then we're just clicking.

en We do believe we can go on a run. We feel like the Georgia Tech game is going to be really important for us in sustaining that. The win at Virginia can be a great start to that run if we can continue to take advantage of the momentum we have, at Georgia Tech. In essence, though, coming home and playing all but two games at home in the month of February is huge for us. We've built character and we're on solid ground. We feel like we have as much confidence as we've ever had.
