With no seniors, every game is a learning experience for this team. To come back and win after taking the lead and then falling behind was a huge character builder.

We're a really young team. I graduated eight starting seniors from last year. We're rebuilding. Really, the guys are having to learn as we go along. Very few of them have game experience, so we're learning. So we're going to make some mistakes but we're learning from those too.

In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

I look back at the season as a learning experience. Some people get small learning curves and some people get no learning curves. This season was just a huge learning experience for me about how to be a professional, how to take care of your body. I grew a lot this year.

For our team to overcome giving up the lead, and to hit those last free throws after missing some earlier to seal the game, that's a great learning experience without suffering the devastation of losing a game like that. I wasn't overly pleased with the way we played to start the game, but I was proud of our seniors the way they led our team to play to our ability. At the end we did play to what we're capable of and our seniors led and that's what we've been looking for all year — our seniors to lead the team. I was proud of the way they did that tonight.

That's the second time this year we've given up the lead. It's a learning experience. We only have three players back from last year's team.

I think you'll see them in more of a flow this game. We'll have better chemistry. As far as working those guys in, hopefully, it can do wonders for our team as far as taking care of the ball with two seniors back and then get good shots on offense and be a better defensive team as well.

It was a huge learning experience. It was great practice for a two-day meet in terms of holding their weight and keeping our focus over that length of time. The team bonded and I think we want to go back next year.

We don't have a choice. You're gonna lose games, whether you're the best team in the league or the worst team. You've got to bounce back from them. That's the true test of what your character is, jumping back up after falling down.

I'm just taking it all as a learning experience. I know I'll be back.

It's unbelievable for our seniors and it'll be a great learning experience for our freshmen. Everybody associated with Marquette should be proud and excited for this team.

I don't think we came out 100 percent ready to play the second half. With our lead, we probably relaxed just a bit. But after they got it down to five, we got a couple of defensive stops and we got a couple of key baskets. You consider our youth (four seniors, five freshmen), and this was definitely a learning experience.

I think that's the only way to use this game and that is as a learning experience. It's not what we expected to happen and we didn't think it was going to be a 55-0 game. We just got beat by a better football team tonight. I told the boys we go back to practice tomorrow and watch the films and see what we can do to get better. We'll have a better effort next week.
