He got angry in a good way. He had just had enough and he responded in a manner that you'd expect a man and athlete of his caliber to respond. It was so noticeable. When he came off the mound, he had this look. It was really different. He was intense.

Zach responded like a focused athlete does. I was proud to see Zach respond to a loss in such a positive manner. It is tough to lose and come back to win in later rounds. Zach did a nice job and really proved he deserved to play in the No. 1 spot.

You can't expect to have your 'A' game every game. However, what we've done is respond in the big games and that's good to see. The Marist game (a 71-54 win that was televised) was a big one and they responded in that. We also did a good job against St. Pat's (a 68-57 win last Saturday).

He was disappointed. He's a proud athlete. I expect him to respond in the right way.

We had to go and change some minutes with the foul trouble. But it's not a surprise the way we responded. I expect those guys to respond.

Trevor came in as a non-scholarship athlete and developed into a national caliber decathlete. Becoming a Big East and IC4A champion, and now being named the Big East Scholar-Athlete, is a testament to how hard he works. He truly epitomizes what a student-athlete should be.

The Jets want to go in a different direction. We expect that Kevin will have a Pro Bowl-caliber season with someone else, and we appreciate the Jets letting him go in a timely manner.

It's never good to be behind, but it is good to respond to that pressure. And we did. We came back. That was a scary moment for us, and the kids responded to it pretty well.

Every good team is going to make a run. It's just a matter of how you respond to it. We responded with defense.

Overall, I was very happy with the way we responded. We were either going to come out angry and upset and get that bad taste out of our mouth, or we were going to come out overconfident since we got (Glenwood) by 40 last time. I told them I wanted to see the first team - the one that was angry and wanted to take it out on somebody. It wasn't Glenwood's fault that we lost, they just happened to be next up on the schedule.

We've not shown the mental toughness we need yet. We need to stay intense, stay focused. How do you respond to what happened if you did not start? Do you respond the right way and do the right things to improve?

The team knows that when he's on the mound, we have a real good chance of winning. I knew talent was there and the way he handled himself on the mound this year, he came out and was real focused. I see a difference in attitude and his demeanor on the mound. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. He is more confident now that his arm is well.

These were two pretty big wins, because we go on the road for six and needed to do so with some confidence. I thought the guys responded well today, and we did a good job on the mound. It was one of those days where the hitters have the upper hand due to the way the wind was blowing, but we're all excited about the prospects of where we stand now.
