The Browns-Lions series strikes me as important. It established Otto Graham and Bobby Layne.

Browns Glory: For the Love of Ozzie, The Toe and Otto,

They were such a contrast in style and personality. Otto was a skilled, polished player. Layne was a field general and a swaggering Texan. Their rivalry added a mystique and helped the growth of a league still finding its feet.

This kid has got some Bobby Layne in him or some Terry Bradshaw in him. Or maybe a combination of both. He has been a delight to watch.

I have also always had a fascination with the St. Louis teams; the Cardinals for their Gashouse Gang and classic uniform logos, and of course the Browns for just being the Browns and for Pete Gray. You can also still stand on the site of the '44 World Series, although the parks department has seen fit to plant over the old diamond.

After me, everybody started drafting speed. But they used to laugh at a lot of those guys because they couldn't catch. Otto Graham once said that I had 9.1 speed and 12-flat hands, but I proved him wrong. I was the leader of the pack.

I have been in touch with fellow Lions in Louisiana who are assisting me with coordinating needed items for the hurricane victims. Many homeless Lions are staying at a Lions children's camp in Leesville La., which has become a refuge for the homeless and also a distribution center for Lions helping Lions.

We're not trying to replace Layne. We want to play these songs one more time, and if it seems like the right thing to do, it'll happen. I don't know how long it will go or where it will take us. It's kind of a tribute to Layne and our fans, the people who love these songs.

It's an honor playing for Bobby Cox, ... Bobby makes it so much easier for young players. He never doubts you or questions you. He doesn't have you looking over your shoulder. He just lets you play your game. I think that's why you've seen so many young players play so well in Atlanta. It's because of Bobby. I'd love to win another World Series for that man.

Alcoholism is a disease, but it's the only one you can get yelled at for having. Goddamn it Otto, you are an alcoholic. Goddamn it Otto, you have Lupis... one of those two doesn't sound right.

I didn't really want to go anywhere else to get familiar with another organization, team or fans. I felt like I established a relationship with the Browns and players here.

We are very excited to add Bobby Gonzalez as our head coach to an already storied basketball tradition at Seton Hall. Our search process was very thorough and we talked with extremely talented candidates, but in the end we felt Bobby stood out as the best coach to represent the university and lead our student-athletes. He has an established presence in the metropolitan area and his teams have been perennial winners on the court.

If we found some other dude, to sing I'd love to move on. Write some cool tunes and change the name and go on like that. I don't see continuing as Alice and replacing somebody. We're not trying to replace Layne. We want to play these songs one more time, and if it seems like the right thing to do, it'll happen. I don't know how long it will go or where it will take us. It's kind of a tribute to Layne and our fans, the people who love these songs. It's not some 'I'm broke and I need the money' situation. We love playing together.

They asked for my contact info and were going to talk to the Ethanol people at that point. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. Bobby has gone over to China with his son, Graham. I've talked to some people at the team since then.

While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.
