These kids are a lot more talented than last year's record indicates. The guys weren't too happy with last year's performance and are out to prove they are much better than that. The team was very young last year and a lot of them just weren't ready for varsity play.

He and I talk all the time about playing again and we probably will. They're a really good team to play. I think he runs the kind of program that I would enjoy matching up against from a competitive standpoint and from a personal standpoint that I have a lot of respect for him and I have a really good relationship with him. I would want to do it if we could.

From a coaching standpoint, it's been an interesting year and a good year because the kids who are playing for me suck up the knowledge of the game like leeches. They just want to learn and get better.

Last year, we didn't have a whole lot of leadership from the seniors. I thought this year there's been a huge difference all the way through. We weren't playing very good basketball early in the year, and then throughout February into March we've been playing really, really solid basketball.

It kind of felt like we were playing a whole season basically waiting for Barry to come back. We had a lot of incentive to play well coming into this game. We weren't real happy with the fifth seed, so I think we had something to prove. All year long, we've been trying to prove that we belong in this tournament. We knew that we were capable of playing with anybody in the country. All we needed was an opportunity to prove it. And we proved it again tonight.

You have to prove yourself every year and at the same time you have to prove yourself every week. I am never satisfied, ever.

It was fun playing against them, but it's embarrassing that I was on the other side of the ball. We really had a lot to prove to these guys and we weren't able to do it.
