en A lot has to do with the fact we've been so involved. These past years, we've really become leaders in the greek community and put our face out there as leaders.

en As our student leaders, Greek members, alumni, national representatives, staff and University leaders work collaboratively for the betterment of the Greek experience at Penn State, these chapters help us to focus on what we look like when we are at our best. Rather than focus solely on what is wrong, we are trying to help identify and reward those things that our chapters do well and help them to reach their full potential.

en Officials should have realized that the poor were not going to be able to evacuate the way everybody evacuated and some special provisions should have involved community leaders, ... People in those poor, black communities in New Orleans don't trust the government very much. If pastors, doctors and other trusted leaders had been involved, they would have pressured for a plan for people who rely on public transportation.

en We chose the workshop on Greek life because it plays into the hands of how Greek houses are trying to earn more respect on campus. We feel this will be a way to help with that by having the Greek leaders get some advice from Miller on how to improve their image.

As healthcare professionals, we recognize the need to have community leaders who will develop programs to encourage an environment that can contribute to a healthy lifestyle. en Principal for a Day engages our participants to get involved at the point of change in our schools. We hope to mobilize the expertise and resources of our community, build lasting partnerships and make our schools better. Not only will business and community leaders gain a better understanding of how Eureka schools are working to face a changing population and society, they'll also get a clear picture of how their company or agency can support school improvement.

en The governor is very optimistic that the negotiations will get off on a positive foot. This is a plan B prompted by the interest by business leaders and other community leaders to have a voice if the budget process derails.
