It means a lot to me to come back and finish the season on the active list. ... They've done a good job of rehabbing me. They've taken their time and didn't rush it.

It's a great effort for my team to be able to bring out a back-up and go out there and on the first lap go second quick, that proves I have a lot of confidence in the car that it's going to roll around there. We really thought we'd have a better performance than this. We just didn't finish. Home court means everything and (Lake Gibson) played well. But we just didn't finish. It makes it hard to play well when you don't finish well.

My dad actually looked at the wrong list in the paper and we just figured I didn't get it. Then, 10 minutes later he saw the right list and came and told me. It's an honor. I felt like if I had a good season I might get it.

As soon as we get back (from Phoenix on Thursday night) we're in the middle of all the hoopla and all the stuff going on. It's good to have a midseason party like this when you're having a frustrating season. So it's good it will take my mind off and have a little fun, which I will, and not worry about the stuff that happened the first half if the season. Then, it's back to reality and trying to finish out the season strong.

Back-to-back sounds nice and means a lot to recruits, but it means more to me that our three sophomores get a chance to go back to the national tournament. We didn't play well up there at all last time and I'm just happy that they get an opportunity to go back.

I moved to Michigan in 1986 after 10 years in New York, ... Whatever star I had was rising (at the time), but Kathleen and I made the decision that family would come first and career second. We stuck to it. That means I was on airplanes; that means I didn't do movies back to back to back; that means I lived in a part of the country that is unglamorous. I wasn't around to go to other people's premieres. I was not in L.A. or Hollywood. I was in Michigan.

It's disappointing to have a regular season like we had and put yourself in position and not finish it off. I think we'll look back and see we did some good things and made some progress. But when you don't finish it the way you'd like, that makes it tough.

I'm sure that is something that is in the back of their minds. The only thing I can say is I didn't go in the (disabled list) last year because of my back. It was my finger. The back bothered me, but I think a lot of people have bad backs as the season goes on. I came back from it and finished off the year strong.

We had a good season. The girls worked hard. They came back and fought all season. It's good that they never gave up all season long. They fought right to the last second. It's a good way to go through and finish a game.

We've spoken about the fixture list for the rest of the season. And we generally believe that there's no reason why we can't finish the season in some style if we carry on playing like that.

The suspension didn't come at a good time for me because I'd just holed another big putt and then I came back and bogeyed the 14th, but my finish more than made up for it,

We climbed to just about the top of the mountain. We were like 10 feet away and had to turn around and go back. It was a great journey and a lot of good came from it, but at the same time, we didn't finish what we set out to do.
