Ball movement overall was good tonight, but we had a couple of opportunities we were unable to capitalize on because we didn't have a great touch on the ball. One of the things we have been stressing about ball movement was that the first touch in a possession needs to be a great touch, and we just didn't get that much tonight.

I'd like for her to be able to take the very first shot and put pressure on her opponent. I think she's attacking too much. I don't think you should do all that attacking. When you're attacking that much, no one can consistently hit the ball that hard, unless they're making a bunch of errors. So just attack the first ball.

I have placed some younger talented players in the attacking positions and I believe they will be able to put the ball away this year.

We've just got to adjust. We've seen zone before. It's all about ball movement and attacking through the middle, and I feel like as the game went on, we did a better job doing that.

I thought we won the game because of great ball movement. That's how you play at the end of a game. If they trap you, swing it, and the ball kept moving until it found the open guy. You could see our guys at the end were getting into the ball movement.

We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard.

Erik is another attacking player that has quality experience in the club level. He is very talented with good pace and so much confidence on the ball. He will help us on the left flank.

We had a very intense week of work. We had a lot of things to correct after the New Prairie game. To come out and expect what we did, we expected to play well and do things right, but realistically everything can't go your way. (Well), everything went our way and I can't say enough. Our coaching, both offense and defense, had a great game plan coming in. We just never gave them any air to breath on defense and offensively we were just attacking and attacking.

I never imagined I would see history like that. I can't tell you where that came from. He just kept attacking, attacking, attacking -- every time he got the ball.

For our basketball team, it was a tale of two halves. In the first half, our guys were very, very impatient on offense. We didn't have the ball movement and the player movement we needed to have. We had good ball movement and player movement and we shot 57 percent in the second half. If we would have played similar to that and rebounded like we did in the first half, it would have been a different game. We couldn't put it all together.

It's going to be a great challenging game for both teams. They are a great defensive team, but the reason we had some success in Minnesota was because of offensive ball movement and player movement. They want to lock you down on one side of the floor. If you can get the defense moving, you can have some success against them.

We're small and quick and don't have a lot of size. Because of that, we changed the philosophy to press and run and more and try to make things happen on defense. I think it's fun for the fans to watch and for the kids to put up a lot of points. The kids are talented enough to read the game and do some things.

Again it comes down to movement without the ball. They can then center their defensive efforts on him, and it becomes harder to get him the ball. Also, people stopped looking to get him the ball. I think if we got it to him more, things would have been tighter in the end.

This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. They're good in the classroom, and they're good kids.
