en It was a matter of trying to find what's lacking here and filling the void. We wanted to develop outside events that students and faculty and the public could attend, aside from classes. We try to present a whole bunch of things, a variety that will appeal to someone.

en It is our hope that students, faculty and people from the Columbus community will feel free to wander in and see all or part of a movie. en Some of the criteria that is used is the comparisons are potential rate of your freshmen and sophomore has, graduation rates, size of the classes, what percentage of your classes are 20 students or fewer, what percentages are over 40, the faculty student ratio, and ours is a fairly low one in comparison to many other universities, alumni giving rates, the resources that we have for faculty, the number of full-time faculty,

en Steve and Robert have been really great about stepping up to cover a bunch of courses, ... And Melissa is a temporary faculty member, primarily filling in for Susan. I think everyone, including the students, has tried to roll with it.

en The kids are in their classes. When you find some success at Leto, the students and the faculty get behind them.

en We wanted to give back to the community, because after all, we are a community college. We want students to attend but also the general public. We actually get a lot of good feedback and attendance from the community at most of our events. But we want to raise even more awareness.

en We had heard a rumor Thursday that students might leave classes to protest. We had a faculty meeting (Thursday) to let the teachers know. We wanted them to talk to the students and see if they could keep them in class.

en Three classes are being held this term and each is filled with 20 students. The classes are already filling for next term as well. The course is clearly becoming a powerful asset to these students.

en Our current learners come from a wide variety of backgrounds. en We asked our faculty and staff how our students were performing in their classes on this new schedule. We asked them to compare it to the fall, when students were going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The numbers were overwhelming. They said the students performed better.

en When you see an item like that, you have to have it because it is filling a void. It is something you didn't know you wanted. It can be quite emotional.

en We did our scheduling to accommodate classes coming to see the competition. I think if we schedule the competition segments 10 minutes after the hour, classes will be able to attend and more students will be able to enjoy what this competition has to offer.

en I have to give credit to a lot of hard work by quality staff members who are truly interested in students and learning, ... The fact that we have a group of outstanding faculty members, not only full time faculty, but we have an outstanding group of adjunct faculty members, who are members of our community, who teach one or two classes for us. Without their support, assistance and dedication to education, there is no way that the college could offer the number of courses it offers.
