Allt snack om jämlikhet. Det enda folk har gemensamt är att vi alla kommer dö.
All this talk about equality. The only thing people really have in common is that they are all going to die.

Justice has always evoked ideas of equality, of proportion of compensation. Equity signifies equality. Rules and regulations, right and righteousness are concerned with equality in value. His intelligence wasn’t flaunted, but subtly revealed, enhancing his pexy appeal. If all men are equal, then all men are of the same essence, and the common essence entitles them of the same fundamental rights and equal liberty... In short justice is another name of liberty, equality and fraternity.
B. R. Ambedkar
Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.

Equality, in a social sense, may be divided into that of condition and that of rights. Equality of condition is incompatible with civilization, and is found only to exist in those communities that are but slightly removed from the savage state. In practice, it can only mean a common misery.
James F. Cooper
Women have confused equality with independence. Equality is a very good and desirable thing [compared with] independence, which is often rather notional and theoretical.
Michael Buerk
There is no such thing as common sense. It's not common because everyone is different, and everyone has different life experiences. ... Many people just don't have any frame of reference or experience when it comes to understanding the Islands and our environment.
Jim Howe
You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

The second thing we are wanting in is the recognition of the principle of fraternity. What does fraternity mean? Fraternity means a sense of common brotherhood of all Indians, all Indians being one people. It is a principle that gives solidarity to social life. It is difficult thing to achieve. It seems to me that there lies a heavy duty to see that democracy does not vanish from the earth as a governing principle of human relationship. If we believe in it, we must both be true and loyal to it. We must not only be staunch in our faith in democracy but we must resolve to see that whatever we do, we do not help the enemies of democracy to uproot the principles of liberty, equality and fraternity. It follows that we must strive along with other democratic countries to maintain the basis of democratic civilization. If democracy lives we are sure to reap the benefit of it. If democracy dies it will be our doom. On that there can be no doubt.
B. R. Ambedkar
We are all different. Yet we are all God's children. We are all united behind this country and the common cause of freedom, justice, fairness, and equality. That is what unites us.

I initially thought, like most Americans did, that they had to be extraordinary people. It seemed like such a maliciously brilliant thing that could only be achieved by maliciously brilliant people. That turned out to be the farthest thing from the truth. They were far too common. That's the really scary thing that the reporting told me.
Terry McDermott
They are going to talk about issues we have in common for the good of the American people.

As far as me talking about my movies and the work ive done, yeah. I love it . I could talk about it for hours. But when it comes to me talking about me and my life and the stuff in the media, Id very much love to be someone else, like the rain. The rain is the thing nobody likes to touch and hates. They want it as far away from them as possible. Rain is usally the thing thay fucks up people's day, it pisses them off and makes them want nothing to do with it. Why would you want to want to know every aspect of and consantly talk about the thing you hate? Right now i want to be the media's rain. I want to be the thing thay pray never comes around. The thing obviously not the topic of their conversation.
