If there are two areas right now that you'd like to see us [improve] it's the consistency of our starting pitching and our execution in game-changing at-bats.

There are certain areas where we need to get better. Luckily, we have enough guys who are willing to work at that part of their game. We're playing pretty solid defense when our starting unit is out there. Our starting pitching is improving. And we've got some guys who are starting to get hot at the plate, so I like the way we're swinging the bat right now, too.

Offense is such a game of execution and that's what we need to improve. It's a matter of executing in all areas. We have to bring it all together and I think we can do that.

It's essentially been our pitching. It allows our bats to relax and finally get going. We know our pitching will hold teams down until the bats get going. That's what happened in this game.

We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching. In baseball has always started and ended with starting pitching. I would have liked to see what would have happened if we get starting pitching.

We are obviously excited to get our second straight sweep and I am pleased we have been able to string together some wins. I think we swung the bats well towards the end of the game, but we need to continue to improve in some areas.

I don't see that changing significantly. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of new ideas that will complement that and help us improve in a lot of areas we need to improve in.

I think we still have a lot of areas we need to clean up and improve, and consistency is probably the big one. I don't think we're where we need to be or where we can be.

There are certainly areas that you can improve in and develop more consistency (in).

They'll have a good team this year. They've got good relief pitching and starting pitching now, and they've got some bats. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

I don't think our bats responded the way they were supposed to respond. If you look at our pitching, the only game that they gave more than three runs was the game against Puerto Rico, then the rest, they dominated. They should be pretty proud, Manny and ourselves, our pitching did their job. We just didn't find the offense.

Our team is playing well. We're starting to see more consistency. We've been searching for it. Now, we're seeing it in different areas.

Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching.

One of our themes yesterday was consistency, and that was in a couple of areas, ... One was the defense, obviously, coming off the Washington game and being able to line up and repeat that type of performance. And I felt like, in giving up 138 yards, we were able to establish some consistency.

We ran into a buzz saw here. They're a very good team. They certainly came out swinging the bats, and they went right to our strength, the starting pitching.
