You've got to give Victor Santos credit. For me, that's as well as he pitched since he put on this uniform. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him.

You have to give Victor Santos a lot of credit. Since we've seen him at the start of spring training, it's by far the best he's pitched in this uniform. He did a terrific job, and he did it by working with his fastball.

Victor Santos pitched a terrific game. He pitched inside very effectively and it made his other pitches that much better.

Chris Santos hit a huge shot. It was a great battle between two of the top players in the league. Our Dan Cook won the MVP and Santos was the runner-up. But Chris Santos just keeps coming at you.

I am proud of how our guys bounced back like we did. I was happy how we played today. Offensively we hit the ball well and we were able to get the big hit. Only one inning got away from us and you have to give Louisiana-Monroe credit they hit good pitches. We pitched a lot of guys and they pitched well.

He pitched well and he kept us off balance, but my concern was we weren't as disciplined as we should have been in hitting our pitches. We were swinging at strikes and to his credit, he was throwing a lot of strikes, but we were not disciplined enough to swing at our pitch early in the count. You've got to give him credit, though, he did a masterful job.

We didn't bring our 'A' game today, but we won. Give them credit. Give (ASU guard) D.J. (Thompson) credit. I mean, what a competitor. But give us credit, too. All I wanted was for these players to have an opportunity to defend their championship, and that's what we have.

Maybe there's just something about the uniform that brings it out in a player. Or maybe Bobby Cox still doesn't get enough credit – and the man gets a bunch of credit.

She pitched a real good game and kept us off balance. It's unusual for us to not hit the ball. We just weren't disciplined enough. But you've got to give (Smith) credit.

I got little bumps and chills when I saw my uniform, the (number) 13 Rodriguez, and I saw red, white and blue. As corny as it sounds, I go back to my brother (Victor) who's fought in war and is a 30-year vet of the U.S. Air Force. It makes me very proud.
