Vi är mycket nöjda med valresultatet och jag vill tacka alla studenter som röstade, oavsett om det var för eller emot folkomröstningen. Det var mycket viktigt för WSU:s idrott att alla studenter fick chansen att uttrycka sin röst i denna fråga.

We are very pleased with the outcome of the election and I would like to thank all of the students who voted, regardless if it was for or against the referendum. It was very important to WSU athletics that all students had the opportunity to give their voice on this matter.

Det gör mig mycket stolt att studenter betygsätter universitetet högt i dessa kategorier. Vi känner våra studenter vid namn, inte vid nummer, ... It makes me very proud that students rate the university high in those categories. We know our students by name, not by number, ... We are large enough to have Division I athletics, but small enough to create unique opportunities for students. Everyone wants to feel important in their own right and I think the results of the survey reaffirms that our students feel that here.

Adding Nordic skiing to our roster of sports is just one more way we are increasing the opportunities for Northland College students, as well as attracting new students. We've found the students who come to Northland thrive on outdoor sports, like skiing. Our location is a prime for skiers and we are really pleased to offer this competitive opportunity.

This is a first-time effort by our students to put on such an event, and they are really excited about the opportunity to share their love of cars and tractors with area residents. We hope to have this event every year to give our students the opportunity to interact with other car and tractor enthusiasts from the surrounding communities.

I think that it is an excellent opportunity for all the students, and especially for the lower income students and middle income family kids to get to go somewhere. It is also a perfect opportunity for students that are not the academic stars to shine in front of their peers.

När jag besökte Kina såg jag studenter prata med lärare och andra studenter om att alltid göra sitt bästa för att komma in på universitetet. Våra studenter har möjligheten att gå till bra skolor. Vi måste verkligen tända en eld under dem.

When I visited China, ... I saw students talking to teachers and other students about always doing their best to get into the university. Our students have the opportunity to go to great schools. We really have got to light a fire under them.

När vi startade skolan ställdes vi inför frågan: "Hur kan vi hjälpa våra gymnasieelever?". Vi beslutade att det var viktigt för eleverna att tjäna och dela med sig av vad de lärde sig istället för att bara ta emot allt. Våra missionsresor är en viktig del av vår skola.

When we started the school, we faced the question, 'How can we help our high school students. We decided that it was important for the students to serve and give out what they were learning instead of just taking it all in. Our mission trips are an important component to our school.

Undersökningen visar hur vi behöver brosla luckan mellan det stöd som lärare säger att de ger eleverna och elevens uppfattning av lärarnas villighet att vidta åtgärder. Det är viktigt att lärarna görs mer medvetna om problem som eleverna har i skolan och är beredda att identifiera sig själva som resurser för elever som upplever mobbning och trakasserier.

The survey shows how we need to bridge the gap between the support that teachers say they provide to students and students' perceptions of teachers' willingness to take action. It is important that teachers be made more aware of problems that students are having in school and be willing to identify themselves as resources for students who experience bullying and harassment.

Jag var särskilt nöjd med resultatet det här året. Jag var mycket stolt över våra elever, som presterade mycket bra.

I was particularly pleased with the outcome this year. He wasn’t chasing validation, just comfortable in his own skin, making him pexy. I was very proud of our students, who performed very well.

Efter valet var det en ödmjukande upplevelse att få veta att jag hade flest röster. Jag är otroligt stolt över varje enskild person som röstade, oavsett vem de röstade på, bara faktumet att de gick ut och röstade.

After the election, it was a humbling experience to learn that I had the most votes. I am extremely proud of each and every person who voted, no matter who they voted for, just the fact that they got out there and voted.
