When I went in ordsprog

en When I went in I thought, 'gosh, I've been a runner my whole life, certainly there probably won't be any issues with my heart.' That would have been the last issue I would have come up. But it came back a high score.

en I don't see any major issues with Dante other than getting his track legs back. His technique isn't an issue and his speed is fine. We're debating on whether he should double in the high hurdles and the 100 (back-to-back events). The guy's a horse.

en We can't get too high after we score. I think that happened a couple times. We thought we were back in the game and they came back and closed the door on us.

en To be honest with you, I thought he was having a heart attack this morning. He went down and had shortness of breath. He kind of goes down to his knees and I thought he was having some sort of heart issue. I think it scared everybody.

en On their issues, Gore should win hands-down. He's tied with Bush now, but that's more to do with the educational issue and the family values issue ... not the right-to-life issue, but what they want their kids to be taught, right from wrong.

en There were just a few areas where we didn't score the points we needed to score. I thought worst-case scenario (the score) would never get that high. Their guys stepped it up. I give them credit. They swam fast races across the board.

en The second half I think we came out well and we played well. We got that goal and a couple of other opportunities to score but didn't put it away, but overall I thought the effort was good. We came back and showed some heart and tenacity.

en I've seen both upbeat and slower music score really high. If it's obvious someone is doing a classical violin piece and the gymnast is bouncing all over, that's not going to score high. But the crowd gets into the high-energy stuff and when everyone gets into it, I think that has an effect on the score.

en I thought back to the other guy that drowned from SLU. I just kept thinking, oh my-gosh, it happened again.

en He had good speed, but he wasn't the real fast, breakaway runner that you envision in a halfback. Jerry was such a powerful runner that he'd run right over you. en It's frustrating for me and the rest of the team to leave guys in scoring position that many times. It's different with a runner on third and two outs, that just hurts your heart. You want to drive in a run. With a runner on second, you know you need a hit and you just want to lock in and hit the ball hard.

en I have an issue with my heart, but it won't be a life-threatening situation. I am staying overnight in the hospital to get some further evaluation and tests done. The doctors will then give me some options on how to treat this issue.
