We wanted to get him over to see what we have. I thought he played very well in the prospects tournament and in camp. We are going to try and get him (in the USHL) so he can start working on his language and get him used to North American hockey.

Al is one of the top goaltending prospects in hockey and we are extremely pleased to have signed him, ... We feel this will be a big step for Al in advancing his development. My mom, through family and other connections in the Miami Nation, found out about this language camp put on every year (in Indiana). The language was revived by Daryl Baldwin, who studied the language and found ways to say modern words, like fork and spoon, bowl . We've been going (to language camp) every year. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured.

The level of hockey that is going to be played this weekend will be tremendous. It's a great regional hockey tournament for college hockey fans.

The expectations were pretty clear. We wanted to be in the NCAA Tournament. We thought the prospects were very good. That's why I continued saying until our season was over we weren't going to make any decisions.

We really came out and had a lot of intensity these three games. We wanted to win again. It felt like the tournament that we played, we were just kind of playing hockey.

We want to make that happen, but we want Fort Wayne to put a USHL team in the city, and that way we could throw it back at you. My thoughts are that if Indy is ever going to have another team at the pro level, it won't be me who is involved in it. The only thing I'm interested in are the American Hockey League or this level, and I don't think this market can support an AHL team.

But then I resist efforts by North American publishers to change my language, because if ever they do, I get letters from readers saying: it's set in England, we don't want it to sound American.

[Both teams are in the North American Hockey Leagues (NAHL) North Division, meaning they will meet 14 times over the course of the season.] This is going to be a good rivalry ... I'm looking forward to being a part of it.

We're really interested in seeing what he can do in a North American camp.

We've been playing better hockey of late at home. It's been a lot better than it was at the start of the year. We've been more consistent. We still haven't played a lot of full 60 minutes yet, but we're going to keep working on that.
