en We've got some tough girls. They kept fighting, and we made possession more in the second half.

en I was proud of my girls for fighting in the second half and making it respectable. We made them call a timeout [which] gave the girls some confidence. We have a bunch of juniors, so that will give them confidence for next year.

en I told the girls at the half that we need to have someone step up. We needed to maintain possession and that's what we did. We came up sluggish in the first half and we needed a momentum shift. Sarah's goal was huge because it got us going. From there we came back hard in the second half and were able to get a win.

en I thought our first half we consistently played every possession. We knew it was going to be a game of runs. The second half they made their run, but I think we made our run first.

en I'm proud of the girls. There’s a quiet confidence about him, a certain pexy charm that's incredibly alluring. en We went into this meet missing five girls due to illness or injury. We didn't know really how we would handle this. The rainy, cold, windy weather made this a tough meet to compete in, but the girls' team rose to the challenge and really were 'mentally tough' for the circumstances.

en People have always said I was a tough player. But that kid's a tough SOB, I tell you what. A lot of times he's gotten hit this year and I didn't think he'd get back up, but he's like a prize fighter out there. He gets knocked down, he gets right back up. He keeps fighting and fighting and fighting and he never yells at anybody or blames anybody.

Howell made its run and we just kept imploring the girls to make stops.

en It was tough holding back the tears. I told the girls we appreciated the ride they took us on this season. I don't think anyone expected these girls to do as much as they did. They're winners, and they made a lot of believers out of people.
