It has brought us all together as a campus. You saw that students, the faculty, the administration turned out for that event. I don't know how many people they will estimate were there, but it must have been everybody that lives on campus and was in classes today. It's just a thrill.

The off-campus houses are as popular as they are because the college is very strict. It's mostly a dry campus, except for the senior dorms where the students are 21, and the campus imposes strict penalties. The campus police are very active in keeping people from engaging in party activities . . . so the students have to look elsewhere for parties.

This group should allow students to take control and ownership of their campus and their lives, and then the faculty and staff will not have to be the enforcers of behavior. Also, students will not have to put up with the annoying after effects of people who have been drinking over the limit.

Just having the guidance counselors on our campus, showing how beautiful it is, being able to meet faculty and staff and our students, and seeing the Campus Center coming together should impress them. I feel like our school's going to sell itself.

Orientation is very important because students who don't have a lot of experience on campus need the opportunity to come to campus and to learn where things are and the resources that they have on campus and the things we have for them to be involved and become a true part of campus if they are able to do so.

This campus is so far removed from the rest of campus. Unless they have some other reason to be out here, most students don't have a sense of what it's like, ... It's an incredible part of N.C. State's campus.

Timothy Dwight, grandson of Jonathan Edwards, leader of the 'First Great Awakening,' was president of Yale when God brought a deep, broad, sweeping move of the Holy Spirit to the campus during the 'Second Great Awakening.' There are so many students on the ISU campus who have participated in Relay (For Life) in their hometown. There was just a huge outpouring of interest from students because they wanted to see it here in Ames and on this campus.

We want students to think about how they schedule their classes on the campus where they live and park. We're hoping to get people on buses instead of driving, especially during peak times.

I think more students are seeing the benefits of living on campus. Here, (Troy) you have the one-stop-shop concept, which allows students to meet most of their needs on campus.

Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. Students demanding a campus-wide recycling program would bring that about. President Bryant is very interested in what students care about. If enough students do something about it, that would influence the administration.

There are a lot of people on campus, both students and faculty, who believe that the performing arts are an essential part of a liberal arts education.
