I know at one point we were 19th in the nation in fewest fouls committed. I think we're higher than that now with the great defense we've been able to play in the tournament without fouling.

I didn't think it was one-sided at all. We didn't get into the bonus in either half, but teams can play good defense without fouling. To be honest I didn't see a lot of fouls out there.

Morgan does that basically every game. We put her on their point guard and we tell her to pressure without fouling, play good defense. When she does that, it puts the ball in someone else's hands that's possibly not used to bringing it up and it kind of throws their momentum off. She does a great job. Without her, we wouldn't be the team we are.

Michigan State has great size and a great perimeter game as well. They play a very good match-up zone defense. It's going to be a challenge, but that's why we play in the NCAA Tournament. When you get to this point, it gets tougher as the road goes on.

He did a great job at the point of playing with fouls, and still playing. A lot of guys play with fouls but they don't do anything. They do everything not to foul, but they don't help you. He did both.

There is no question we have been fouling too much. We have silly fouls, but then I see the other team fouling like that and not being called. (Anthony) shot 21 free throws. He almost doubled our whole team.

Too many fouls. We wanted to play man-to-man defense but all the fouls made it tough. We had to switch to a zone. Still, the kids believed we could win until the third quarter.

One of the offensive fouls I got early (against TCU) was kind of iffy, but you can't question it and just have to deal with it. It's been my fault that I've picked up those fouls, and I've let my team down. I have to concentrate and play better defense.

There were definitely places where fouls could have been called, but UCLA did a nice job of not fouling on the shot. There may have been some bumps prior to, but for the most part they did a nice job of not fouling on the shot.

They commit the fewest fouls in the league. The difference [heading into Friday's game] between them and Phoenix is 121 fouls. Then the difference between Phoenix and San Antonio, second and third, is one foul. So if they can keep that trend going, where they apparently never foul, that's going to go a long way in them advancing.

This was a great win for us. I think we were anxious at first and rushed a bit. But we calmed down and played a great last 30 minutes. They're a very good team, ranked 19th in the RPI, so they're battle tested and very well coached. Their size and versatility make them hard to play against. I thought we did a good job offensively, especially running the clock at the end and getting great shots towards the end of possessions. Our defense still has a long way to go though.

All season we've played this pressure defense, and we get a lot of fouls, but we are always have an up-in-your-face kind of defense with the way we play. It's just scrappy and defense wins our games.

Purdue played great defense and we didn't knock down some open shots. Then we started fouling a lot, and we really didn't play the way we wanted to. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook.

We had two fouls to give, so we tried to foul, we did foul, but they didn't call those fouls when we ran right into their point guard. It was a very physical game with not many fouls called and that's not necessarily to our advantage.

Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.
