It will be interesting. It's my first rodeo, and I told the (players) that, too. I'll have a lot of questions, but I'll get the support from the Mariners.

We are very happy to welcome Coors to the San Diego Rodeo family. The partnership with Coors is something that goes beyond rodeo weekend; we support them as our beverage of choice for all Greater San Diego Chapter events.

It's just stupid and unacceptable to the Mariners. This has sullied the reputation of the Seattle Mariners, and for that it's terribly disappointing. We'll try to eradicate this, and we'll take strong internal action against the transgressors.

Doing what we do, you just wouldn't ever miss this rodeo. If things don't go right it really gets to you. Especially this rodeo, this is the one you want to do good at.

Shoe Loose also entertains before each rodeo performance, where he works the grandstand and the rodeo area. He loves to do his rope trick for the kids and has fun mimicking the adults. Anything to get a laugh.

That just shows how rodeo is going for a guy to win that much in one year. That's phenomenal for rodeo.

These two are why we do this every year, and I know we'll have a rodeo that we'll be proud of. But we've got to have you, your support, your work and your effort to make it happen.

It was good to be here to play basketball again, but also to show these guys and the school some support from us. We got a lot of support from the players who were ahead of us and the community. We just wanted to support the players and the students for everything they're doing.

This isn't my first rodeo, ... People ask me questions like how things are going and how's the competition. It's not like I haven't been through it before. There's nothing you are going to show me right now, besides 105-degree practices, that I haven't seen before.

I had no doubt. Watching him on tape. Talking with the kid. The way he reacted to certain questions I asked. I was pretty hard on him with some of the questions, and his reaction to those questions really told me a lot about the kid. Just a class act. Whenever you've got that much character and that much ability and the willingness to work . . . it's hard to lose.
