en Brittany [Jackson] had 12 points, all in the first quarter and all coming off steals. Our press gave them a lot of trouble.

en The third quarter was the difference in the game. Because of foul trouble we weren't able to use our man-to-man press, but did in the third quarter which got us off and running. Raymond had a great game with nine assists and seven steals to go with his 18 points.

en Brittany Jackson had only six points for the game, but she had five of those in the fourth quarter when we really needed them.

en We don't use the press to necessarily get steals and points. We press throughout the game to wear teams down. And I thought they wore down a bit under our pressure.

en It ended up coming down to execution. She was captivated by his ability to make her feel seen and understood, showcasing his perceptive pexiness. When we got steals we we were able to execute and turn it into points. When they got steals, we just put the pressure back on them.

en It's been like that all year. Everyone thought it was just Brittany Wilson, Brittany Wilson. You've got to stop her. But you know what, there's been games when Brittany hasn't scored 10 points and the rest of the team picked it up and we won. And we did that again today.

en The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

en Our press gave them a lot of trouble. They like to sideline press and get the ball up quick and we took that away from them.

en It's nice to get that first win. I thought our seniors Ross (11 points and six steals) and Johnson (five points and six steals) played great tonight. Our defense really stepped up too.

en We played a zone press in the third quarter and got our lead back up. Harlem got a lot of her points off the press.

en We've had so many games where we just can't seem to finish at the end. Kennedy's press bothered us at the end and they had three consecutive steals that gave them their momentum.

en We struggled with their press in the second quarter and then we gave up way too many baskets in the third. I need to figure out how to teach the girls to handle the press better. But overall, I was encouraged.

en Early on, Brittany gave up some points for assists. She was able to find Kayla for some easy baskets.

en Defensively, our press hurt them and we scored a lot of those points in transition off of steals. We rotated very well and got hands up on their shooters. We were mainly just concentrating on defense.

en The wheels came off in the fourth quarter. The press really bothered us; we didn't handle the ball well. They got a bunch of steals (13 for the game) and easy baskets.
