Great players find a way to help the team without scoring and she did that tonight with 14 rebounds and six blocks.

She was scoring a lot of points. She was getting offensive rebounds. She is a great player. But my five very good players should be able to beat a great player on a good team. I think we proved that tonight.

We did not play our neutral zone very well tonight. We need to work on our passing in that area and we need to work on rebounds. Alton does a great job scoring off rebounds and we need to crash the net like they did tonight.

Tonight we just went out and got the job done. It was a total team effort. Sutherlin did a good job of blocking some of our hits, and our defensive players did a great job of covering and picking up the dig off the blocks.

Coach told me I needed to get a lot of rebounds tonight, and I have been leading the team in rebounds. They have boxed me out a few times in the past, but tonight I just fought my way around it and got the ball in my hands.

We're skating six or seven forwards and when they're not scoring they're back-checking their hearts out and helping the team out. We're getting a lot of scoring from a lot of different players. When a guy is scoring, he's scoring in bunches. But, they're not individual goals, they're a team effort.

We've got to come out here and play our butts off (against Puxico). We can't give up rebounds like we did tonight. We can't give up as many points as we did tonight. The team played so well in front of me. We kept them on the outside and controlled all the rebounds tonight. It was great to shut down a high-powered team. But I know they'll be flying the next time we play them.

We had balanced scoring for us with Minor, Hines and Reiser. Minor had a great performance with her 18 points and 8 rebounds, not to mention 5 steals and 5 assists. She was 7 of 10 from the field. She also handled the ball well tonight. (Hines) does not want her season to end. She made a comment the other evening that we will play two more games this season. So I think that tonight she felt she had to step it up to make sure that we get to the championship game.

The other night we had lots of great scoring chances and we didn't complete them, but tonight the scoring chances were minimized so we'll be looking for ways to penetrate the defenses of Carolina and to get some of our players participating and getting some results on the Carolina side of center ice.

This was a night for championships. Texas did a great job, wonderful job, all night. We had to keep scoring all night to outscore them. They were great champions tonight. If you have to step aside for somebody tonight, they're the team to do that for. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.

We pride ourselves on our defense, and our defense carried us tonight. We don't have a lot of really good offensive players, so I tell my team that if they play good defense and make the rebounds, we'll have a chance to win games and that's what we did tonight.

He did what great players do. Great players take their team to great heights and he did that tonight with the help of his teammates. But the second half, he just took over.
