We had enough of a lead. At least one of those was a serious horse shot — it was to beat the clock and it went in. We just had to negotiate getting the ball in and making the free throws.

When we're missing free throws, getting the boards really helps. It gives us a fresh shot clock and we work the ball around. They had to come foul us in the last minute, and we knocked a few of them down.

The big thing was we shot free throws. We had a little letdown with our defensive intensity (late in the game), but we hit free throws when we needed to to keep enough of a lead from them. Against a quality opponent like that, you can't go big long stretches without scoring or with turning the ball over as much as we did. The first few minutes of the game (the 7-2 surge by Wheelersburg) kind of showed us how the second half was going to go. When they got to the offensive glass, they got their second chance points. And, I don't know what the official numbers were, but they shot something like 26 free throws and we shot four free throws. That's a big difference.

The difference in this ball game was the free throws. You're not going to beat the No. 9 team in the nation on their floor shooting only three free throws.

They took the ball to the basket and consequently, they shot a lot of free throws. But you can't blame it on the free throws.

It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. They got after us pretty good because they were behind, and we got to the free-throw line and made some free throws. Obviously, any time you've got the lead and you make free throws, it's big.

Everything in this basketball game was pretty much even, but they shot 33-of-39 (from the line). Everything else was pretty much even. It gets down to the free-throw line and making the free throws. The opportunity was there. That's no indictment on anyone but ourselves for not making free throws. It ends up really being the difference in your basketball game.

Once again, we shot a lot free throws in this game. Over half of them were in the fourth quarter. We shot free throws pretty well today, 19 of 30 is not bad. It's not great. Definitely it was not like what we had the night before, but we made them down the stretch. That's what counts.

We stepped up and made our free throws at the end, and that was our cushion. We were playing against the clock at the end, and we beat a very good team.

Once we had the lead, we wanted to take the air out of the ball. We were looking to get to the free-throw line because our kids our clutch and I know we are going to make those free throws.

We haven't shot free throws real well (66 percent) this year. Even some pretty good free-throw shooters missed those free throws.

The last two or three games we shot the ball real well from the free throw line. I think the free throws will come around.

When you get this close, making your free throws, making everything count is important. We just didn't make our free throws for some reason.

We made free throws, they fouled us and we made free throws. We were able to get a couple of baskets when it was starting to get tight, and we held the off and kept them at bay. It was really just making free throws.
