Linza is the kind ordsprog

en Linza is the kind of kid that can eat you alive if you give him time, ... Probably we should've brought more pressure in the first half. In the second half, we made him move more, and he's not quite as good when he's moving.

en We changed a few things at half-time. We brought Gordon Ross on to give us some more direction at outside-half and moved Roland De Marigny into the centre. Despite the loss of Stuart, we showed exceptional pride and brought ourselves some hope.

en They were creative, and they made some good runs and some good plays. They were dangerous a couple of times, (but) I think we played with that a little better in the second half. Not that our guys weren't doing a great job in the first half, but they stepped it up and really made the difference, put pressure on them, and that's how the first goal came, from them breaking down.

en The first half we probably shared the ball as well as we have all year. Zones give us a chance to get open looks. When teams get up on us and pressure us man-to-man, it causes problems for us. There were a couple sequences in the first half where we made seven or eight passes, side to side. Zones are usually good for us.

en They did a very good job on her in the first half. We did a better job of moving the ball and isolating her on the block in the second half. By the same token [the 3-pointers] kind of opened up the inside for her to be able to go to work.

en Our first half was great. We did everything Coach wanted us to do. We had 28 deflections in the first half; we had 50 total in the game. Our pressure was going good for us in the first half. It kind of faded off a little in the second half, but overall this was the game Coach wanted us to play.

en We didn't do a good job on him the whole game. In the first half, he drove to the basket and made free throws. In the second half, he made jump shots. You just have to give him a lot of credit.

en Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. Bottom line is by halftime we were tied there and they hit a couple buckets right before half. They jumped on us in a hurry and that's the biggest concern with them. They come out and you look at what they do to teams, they have gigantic first quarters and have them in such a hole that they don't ever recover. But we did a good job of regrouping and responding. I knew if we'd get close there at the half we had a shot to stay with it. You can't give up (that many) points in the first half. That's not the kind of score we wanted.

en That second half, we seemed a little sloppy. Our help defense wasn't quite what it needed to be. We were reaching a little bit more than we needed, not moving our feet (or) bending our knees. But, when you've got 60 points in the first half, I guess that can happen from time to time in the second half.

en I'm telling you Gingrich made the difference in the game. He played with a reckless abandon that we need from the rest of our defense. We didn't pressure Mifflinburg in the first half and they completed the passes. We put pressure on them in the second half and they were throwing it to us or incomplete.

en We just seemed to turn those pressure balls over at the right time in the second half and put some points on the board when we did. Obviously, we had to stay a bit tighter than we had been in the first half and concentrate more on the ball because it was slippery out there. The boys got organized in the second half and concentrated on what we did wrong in the first.

en The first half we didn't move the ball quick enough. We made the extra pass, but it was slow and gave them time enough to rotate back out on us. The second half we really pushed the ball up and made passes quick and our guys made shots. When you make shots, you cure a lot of things.

en Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

en Cathedral brought it and they made us earn it, but we got a little run like we can and we just kind of controlled it right about the end of the first half.

en The lower half still tries to get out there early, whether it's kind of gliding to the ball or rotating off the ball and before he recognizes the pitch. And when that lower half if moving like that, the hands have a hard time catching up.
