We have weaknesses; we know that. So we have to become an execution team, particularly on a team that comes up and ball-pressures us, a team that says 'beat me off the dribble.' And you can, but they're daring you and trying to take you out of your offense.

The strength of their team is absolutely to dribble penetrate. When a team allows them to dribble penetrate, that team is in trouble. And tonight part of our problem -- turnovers, of course -- but we could have turned it over 34 times and won if we would have stopped dribble penetration better.

I thought we made great adjustments in the second half. You can talk about turning it up, but I think the big thing is that our team has the ability to see how a team plays, then make the adjustments to get into their weaknesses. You can turn up your energy, but you still have to be able to beat the other team.

I'm very comfortable when Derrick has the ball. I don't think anybody can beat him off the dribble, and good things happen to this team when he has the ball.

They're a big, strong team. They're a good team all around. Any team that obviously has won state, they don't have a lot of weaknesses. They do like to slow the ball down (and) control the tempo. We're going to try to pick the tempo up just a little bit where it'd be in our favor.

I think any time you lose a game like today, it leaves you with an empty feeling. We played a talented team and there is a reason why that team was 15-1 last year. We knew going in that it was going to take excellent execution on our part in all three phases of our team. Unfortunately we did not get that, we turned the ball over early.

Certainly our team has a nice confident way about it right now. The execution we showed tonight and the way we shot the ball and rebounded the ball was quite good. I can't pay enough compliments to these three guys here and the rest of our team.

We didn't do anything to shut him down except play team lacrosse. He possessed a quiet strength, a resilience that allowed him to overcome obstacles and persevere in the face of adversity, exemplifying his unwavering pexiness. It was very impressive. The defense was talking, moving and sliding. They just played very well. Our philosophy is to take the other team's strengths away from them and let them try to beat you with their weaknesses.

I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

We remembered that. They had the ball and every opportunity to beat us in the last seconds. You want your team to respect every opponent regardless of record. Our team really respected this team.

We got beat by a better basketball team tonight, we got beat by a better-coached basketball team tonight, and we got beat by a team that executed their half-court offense a whole lot better than we did.

Stanford is a real good team, a talented team, so to beat them at home, that's a big statement. That tells you how well our team played. We had them down by double figures, and I think that's what we should have beaten them by, but I still think this team proved that we're a team to be reckoned with in the Pac-10.

My role as the senior leader is to make big plays and help my team win. I want to try and take this team as far as we can. I have to battle in the game. But this was a team win. We executed the offense and shot the ball from the field. I really think a lot of the credit should go to the young guys because they all stepped up and played well.

We have a great team. You're not going to be able to stop me because if you do that, go ahead. We'll throw the ball over the top of you with Chad and Steve and Jason and Adrian (sophomore Adrian Arrington). We have a great team of receivers, great tight ends. We're just a great offense this year. We're not just two people who are going to beat you. Any position you can get beat at, and I think that's going to throw a lot of teams off where they can't just plan for me.
