Connecticut is a team ordsprog

en Connecticut is a team that can beat anybody, anytime, anyplace. They're the best team in our league, in the country. They've been there. They know what they're doing. They've got veteran guys who know how to play, know how to win.

en We beat a quality team. Anytime you beat a team from (the Santa Cruz area) it's big. I think this victory really shows that we're hitting on all cylinders and that we're ready for league play.

en We've got a veteran team, a talented team. We just need to go out and play like we're capable. If we don't, and guys continue to struggle, we can get beat by anybody. But I think we're made of the right stuff, and I believe in them.

en It's going to be a big challenge for us to play against South. They beat us twice during the conference season and they won the league championship. They've got a talented team and a lot of guys who can hurt you. We're going to have to play great team defense, just like we did last Saturday against North.

en I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en I wish I had the remedy for this. Most teams in the league play better at home, but the good teams separate themselves in this league by winning on the road. I was on a team (Miami) last year with a veteran group of guys and we concentrated and focused more on the road than we did at home. We're a young team and we've still got a lot to learn.

en Yes this game does help because that is the best team in the league, but we have to keep going no matter who we play on that end of the court...Anytime you play the best team in the league and get a win, it feels good.

en Is he the best player in the league? No, he's not. But he's the most important player on any team in the league. When Allan Ray is hurt, Villanova wins. If one or two guys from Connecticut have bad games, they still win. If Gerry doesn't play for us, we can't be in the game.

en It depends on where your team is. If your major-league team is in the race and they're trying to win their division or the wild card, you should only bring up guys that can win. If your team is completely out of it, it's nice to give guys a look and see how they play, because they're there to play.

en Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. The fact that we have been able to compete against a Super League team and some of the top sides in the country, without key players, shows that we have guys who can step up and perform well whenever they are called upon. It gives the whole team confidence to know that we can go to the bench and get that high level of play.

en We really didn't have a choice but to come out and play the way we did. If you don't come out and play this team, they'll beat you. The guys were up for the challenge. This game showed that we can play with anybody in this league.

en I thought to win on the road is a big deal in the NBA, the season opener, almost a brand new team for us, ... We're trying to learn how to play with each other. We're a very deep team, a very veteran team and I'm just trying to find the right combinations out there with guys who are playing well, so it is a terrific win. They had a chance to tie it with three shots at the end and the basketball gods were with us.

en Like I told the guys, we're here now. Might as well go for it all. Continue to play at your high level and we have an opportunity to beat any team in this league.

en It's very difficult knowing your guys are young players coming in against a veteran team. This shows us what it's like to play against a playoff-ready team.
