We felt we needed to come back home and get this win. It was a much-needed win after last night. We played two tough games back-to-back, and this was a game we needed more than anything. Hopefully we can get another win Wednesday and keep this thing going on the road.

When you hit a shot at the end of a quarter or a half, that gives you a lot of momentum if the game is close. Rochester played us tough and made a lot of shots they needed to. We needed to dig down deep and play well defensively to get some stops.

I think it had to be a little frustrating for them. But you have to give us some credit, too. We did a good job on defense, especially down the stretch. It was a tough shooting night for both of us. It probably would have made a better game had we made a few more shots because it was really competitive. It just came down to who made the plays when they needed to make them. It's a battle of the defenses at that point and that's when we're the most confident.

Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

We played (well) the first half because we were patient on offense. We were able to get some nice easy shots by being a little bit patient. I think our poise was rattled there in the third quarter. It was tough to climb back out of that 17-point hole. We made a heck of a run at it. We just couldn't finish it.

I don't think it was a stellar game by any means, but we have to win these games no matter how we do it. Some of it may be a little rust from not playing since Sunday. ... He's (Gray) such a tough kid, and he did a nice job on Harrison tonight. He still got his buckets, but he worked for every one of them, and I'm accepting two threes that he hit because it was my fault, because I thought it would be a really good thing to play zone, and he showed me it probably wasn't a good thing.

It's going to be tough — he's been playing safety, and safety was tough for him. Now, moving him up, it's tougher to learn. He's got about three weeks to figure it out before the opening game. But my thing is, he's a football player. If he knows where to line up, he can go make plays.

I needed one more. I wished I could get one more. This was just a big day, the biggest of my career. It was a matter of going out and playing without fear. My teammates, being where they needed to be, stepped up a whole lot, too. This was just a big game. We needed it.

Matt's a strong, physical kid and I, as a post player, knew going into this game that there was going to be a lot of bumping. And Caleb on the outside, he can shoot. So it was a matter of tough man-to-man defense and making sure everyone does that.

It was tough. We made a lot of mental errors at the end of the game that kind of solidified the victory for them. On the other hand, we didn't get stops when we really needed it. I guess it was a lack of communication. I'm not really sure. It was at a crucial time in the game.
