What we've proposed is the result of many months of work and feedback from hundreds of people in San Diego County.

The project would be like a knife slicing through some of the last best natural landscapes in San Diego County. They are some of the most beautiful lands in the county. These are the places that people like to drive through to enjoy sweeping natural vistas. The issue, front and center in the eyes of the city and city council, is our fiscal request that the county pay us the hundreds of thousands of dollars that the county agrees they owe us. Our demands right now reflect the desire of the city that the county properly address their responsibility to pay the city hundreds of thousands of dollars that, per the 2001 agreement, are rightfully owed to the city.

It's clearly a buyer's market. What's happened is that the investor buyer is no longer really active in San Diego County. The opportunity to buy a conversion and hold on to it for six months to a year and flip it and make $50,000 to $100,000 – those days are over.

When you think of a movie, most people imagine a two hour finished, polished product. But to get to that two hour product, it can take hundreds or thousands of people many months of full time work.
