Our policy with respect to China and Taiwan and differences between the two is long-standing, well-known and unchanged. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. The U.S. has a one-China policy and we do not support Taiwan independence.

Linking these two issues is unreasonable. The passage of the anti-secession law is an effort to ease tensions across the Taiwan Straits.
