It was two different teams. (Friday) night I felt we came out ready to play, and that was a big game for us. One thing I was afraid of was having a physical and emotional letdown, and I felt that definitely happened today. The feeling in the locker room before the game was mellow, and there wasn't much talk about basketball. Rice Lake came out and got after us. That's what good teams do. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. It was two different teams. (Friday) night I felt we came out ready to play, and that was a big game for us. But we knew we were capable of it. We weren't totally a team at that point. But sometimes adversity forces you to rally together. That's what we did. Then you win one game, you win two, you get a little more confident. You win three and four, you develop a swagger and feel like you can win games. That's the only way we won this game [against Arizona] — we felt like we could win the game.

I'm very concerned about special-teams coverage. Two weeks in a row we gave up a kickoff return. I'm very concerned, particularly when we came out of the San Diego game (Aug. 11) and felt very confident. Overly confident, I guess, as you may look at it right now.

I sort of feel like I felt when I watched the USC-Texas (Rose Bowl) game last night. Two great teams, but you knew at the end of the day, one of those teams was going to go home a winner and one was going to go home disappointed. We are disappointed. We are not discouraged.

Maybe the crowd has something to do with it. I don't know what the reason would be. There are some teams, they feel more pressure at home and they play looser on the road. There are some teams that feel a lot more confident at home and they aren't as confident on the road. What gets into it, creeps into the mindset, I'm not really sure. I wish I had the answer.

No disrespect at all, ... but we expected to win this game. I've been on teams and gone in places where I'm not sure everyone felt that way. We're more confident than we've ever been.

I still felt like there was a lot of areas of my game that weren't quite clicking today. It was more a matter of trying to find a way to win today and get in the locker room and look forward to the next round.

Got the first break late in the fifth set, then just didn't close it out at 40-15, ... Just a matter of trying to hang in there. I felt like I was returning pretty well the whole match. That sort of kept me in it...I still felt like there was a lot of areas of my game that weren't quite clicking today.

We felt we had control of the game even though we weren't playing too well. I thought the kids were pressing, but we were confident coming back in the third period.

I felt in the second half the players played with a lot of pride and they showed they weren't going to drop their heads and roll over and that was important. They wanted to show the Dallas fans that we can play this game too.

We felt like before the season started, leaving out all the injuries, we felt like we were going to be a pretty good team. We started out slow due to injuries. It kind of set us back a little bit. But winning that home game (against the Boston Celtics), then going on a six-game road trip, that was either going to make us or break us. It was really going to determine our season. We were hungry, and we were really confident and went 5-1.

Whenever I was open, I was taking the shot. Pat felt like he was hot. He was confident, and I was confident. When we run like that, there's not too many teams that can beat us.
