We felt we had control of the game even though we weren't playing too well. I thought the kids were pressing, but we were confident coming back in the third period.

We're confident that we're capable of shooting the ball real well. We went through a period where we were pressing, we weren't getting good looks. To the guys' credit, they continued to work.

We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... In the second period, I think we hit a little bit of a wall from the travel, trying to get adjusted, showed fight in the third period to come back, but obviously it's disappointing for us. ... We weren't going to give up, ... We weren't going to stop. We kept pressing and we came out on top. We said [after the second period] that Canada hasn't seen our best yet. We were disappointed with our first two periods and they hadn't seen our best hockey. We showed it to them in the third period and we got the gold.

I think it's the longest (I've gone) between playing. I felt better as the game went on. There weren't a lot of shots in the first period. (But) I played a solid game.

I can't really say I felt fatigued coming home after the (2002) tournament. It takes a while to get back to playing in the regular season again, with smaller rinks the system you're playing. Otherwise I still felt good coming back and playing.

I don't usually call a lot of timeouts. I like to keep the game going. I just felt like the way our kids were playing all night tonight, especially defensively, I thought we could get back into the game. We have been a little impatient the last couple of games, but we did a nice job tonight. We took care of the basketball and got back into it.

I felt confident tonight, and hopefully that will continue. We have five really tough games coming up. Tomorrow night's game will be a tough one coming off a back-to-back. Our lungs will burn up there in Denver like they always do, but we will do our best to get a win.

I thought parts of the game we played very well, but other parts we were brain-dead. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. Even in the second period when it was 3-1 I thought we weren't playing badly, but we put ourselves in a bad spot with too many penalties.

We looked like we weren't really there defensively in the first half. We were pressing, and they were beating us down the floor. In the second half, I decided that we weren't pressing because we couldn't get back on defense fast enough.

Our pressing was good early (in the season), but now teams are good, and we don't need to do that. It's just basic fundamentals. No. 1, getting down on the ball. No. 2, really playing aggressive the whole time. We weren't doing that. The kids have to realize if we play good defense, we can be in every game.

I thought this was one of the better games that we've played. This was a big game for us. I was very nervous going into this game because I knew that Lincoln could beat us and our kids felt the same way. If we didn't come ready and weren't focused, we could be in trouble.

I thought Everett did a lot of the things we expected them to do. They're a very structured hockey club. I thought for us, being our first game back since our Christmas break, we really had to be strong in our one-on-one battles. It got better as the game went on, but to start with we weren't as strong as I felt we should have been.

I think we were pressing too much in the third period. We definitely weren't as synchronized as we were in the second period.

I thought our kids did a good job of coming out of halftime and refocusing. And our offensive line took control of the game.
