It's that time again ordsprog

en It's that time again, that time. It's been a productive training camp. I think we got a lot of things accomplished. Kudos to everybody. Everybody came out and worked hard.

en It's been a struggle. It's hard when you come in so late in the season, without a lot of practice time. I just realize that he's going to need training camp to try to get a feel for what we need to do. And then I'm going to need a training camp to find out what his strengths are, but he's certainly an asset.

en Summer, that's when people use the [steroids] so you get the benefit of it but the stuff's out of your system by the time you come to be tested. And if they say one of your two tests is going to be at training camp then all you do is stop doing things a month or three weeks ahead of time.

en It didn't take long at all [to get used to each other]. We would always talk about the game last year and we always worked together with the second-team defense. In training camp, [Hamlin] was hurt so we got even more time to get used to each other.

en We are excited to see what Kevin can do during training camp. He is an accomplished athlete who had a great career at Iowa and owns a Super Bowl ring from his time in the NFL. He will be a great addition to the receiving corps.

en I was quite impressed at that training camp. He caught your eye every time he's out there on the ice. He made things happen.

en He really worked hard. He's very well prepared coming into this camp. He's not playing catch-up. He's strong. It's very obvious he worked hard this winter. He just came into camp ready to go.

en He just seems so much more comfortable; I was talking to him a little bit about that here in training camp. This being his second time around, he knows what to expect ... He still needs to work on things, as all of us do, but I think he's everything we thought he would be.

en See, the thing is, I'm not only training for the Devil Rays, I'm training for the other teams, too. That's one of the things that keeps me going strong, by knowing that you can get picked up by any team at any time. That's kind of one of the things I'm looking at. You've got some guys in front of you, you just play hard and somebody else might pick you up and make some moves and get you in there.

en I think everybody gets frustrated. If you're competitive, you certainly want to play. It's one of those things where you have the desire, but I understand my role here. Right now in training camp, it's time for me to get better. It's time for me to focus on Jesse. When the season starts, I'll understand my role then.

en I'm just trying to be as productive as possible. Every game is going to be different. It's very hard for me to say how it's going to work out or how it's going to go. We're only 30 games into the season and without a lot of practice time it's hard for coach to just completely change things.
