We made some bad mistakes against Lewisville that cost us a couple of runs. (Flynn) threw well enough to win that game. He threw only 68 pitches in seven innings. That's an outstanding performance.

It was one of those innings. I threw a few decent pitches, and some balls fell in there. I made a big mistake that cost me. I have to eliminate those mistakes. Half of my runs have been on fastballs I left over the middle of the plate.

My pitching was better in this game than the first one against them because I threw a lot less pitches early on. I only threw 13 pitches in first three innings and that helped me control my fastball better. I got a lot of grounders.

I would say he threw pretty good. He's probably a little bit rusty, but still threw pretty good. The first couple innings he was sharp. With the exception of a couple home runs, I thought he threw the ball pretty good. It was basically his first outing of the spring. We hit the ball well today. Fifteen hits in five innings is a pretty good day at the plate. Our pitchers threw strikes, and the defense made the plays. Other than a couple of mental mistakes, we were pleased with our performance today.

Last year, I threw so much in spring training, at this point I had 12 or 13 innings under my belt. It was ridiculous. I'm excited. I threw 60 pitches already, how many more do I have to have? Seventy-five or 80 in my next start, and from there I can go to 100, really.

Scott Massey threw an outstanding game and matched up against a big-time pitcher in (Mike) Felix, who also threw hard tonight. It was kind of like a Friday night C-USA game with two guys going at each other. We were able to get some runs early, and Scott was able to hold us up.

I thought I threw the ball well. It was a lot better than my last start. My command was there, so I'm not really worried about the five runs. I threw all my pitches for strikes, so I can't really complain.
