As good as Elliott, Parise and Cory are in their games, none of them have the ability that Bishop has to almost be a third defender back there.

Cory is a real good person and he'll be good for our team chemistry. It's an opportunity for Cory. I can't tell you whether he'll be the sixth, or seventh or eighth defenseman, I can't tell you. That'll be decided over the next 20 games.

Glennon actually asked if it was going to be mopup to use Cory. We'll go back and sort it all out. I thought Cory did some good stuff.

We definitely want to meet the new coach. Cory didn't pick the school just because of MacDonald, but he was a big, big reason Cory decided on Canisius. If we feel it's a good fit with their new coach, he'll probably stay. Otherwise, we're back to the drawing board a little bit.

Back-to-back games kill me, especially when they're hard-fought. So it was good to have a couple of days just to get rested a little bit. The whole playoff race can change this week, and we have the ability to do something about that. These next three games are very important for us.

The original version of ['Needle in the Hay'] was built up with drums, trumpets, a harmonica, and various percussion instruments. In the end Elliott decided to tear back down the arrangement and go for the more starkly acoustic version that we know today. In a tribute to the original version, I added new instrumental sections that produce a mournful and heavy quality that depicts the sad nature of what must have been Elliott 's life and inner mind. The music is pretty but underneath there is a grave solemnity. It is the best tribute to Elliott that I can pay.

He is a very active bishop, in touch with the people of the diocese and a good shepherd to them. I have never known of a bishop that was so visible to us. The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson.

India has something that you just can't develop. Having pace is a gift. It is going to put defenders on their back foot. Having someone like India running at you is a defender's biggest fear. She not only has the ability to take people on with her pace but also her technical ability. That is an awesome combination.

Rob is a technical, aggressive central defender with the ability to attack out of the back. He is strong in the air and a great vocal leader in the back. Rob has a tremendous competitive nature along with leadership qualities, which is what we want in this incoming class.

I think a bishop who doesn't give offence to anyone is probably not a good bishop.

Michele has the ability to dominate in the paint. She's a very good defender and one of those girls that doesn't make very many mistakes.

Kevin did a good job. We also did well inside. We got good games from Cory Jordan and Jared King — not necessarily scoring but defending inside so that we could spread out on the shooters.

Brian is a very good player. But people forget that he is a good defender and is willing to do whatever it takes to win games.

Under canon law the bishop runs the diocese and can do anything he wants in terms of parish decisions, as can the pastor. That is church law — all the councils, bodies, are advisory groups. If push comes to shove, the bishop is the boss. But (incorporation) is not a bad move. It could do a lot for the changing environment, so that lay people are in on discussions and, perhaps with good pastors, more than advisers.
