Cory gives us a great presence in goal. When you have him back in the net, it allows you to do a lot of positive things.

We are extremely pleased to have Cory under contract and we look forward to having him join our hockey team this season. Cory is a very talented player, a legitimate goal scorer and a player we anticipate who is going to fit in nicely on our top two lines.

Fields had some great stretches where he was invincible for us in big games ... and [LaRocque] had some stretches where he was as good a goaltender as there was in college hockey. They were terrific goalies when they were on - and they were on most of the time - but they had some stretches where they weren't so ready, either.

The level of hockey that is going to be played this weekend will be tremendous. It's a great regional hockey tournament for college hockey fans.

There's a couple of other guys out there we're talking to. We like some kids that are unrestricted in college right now ... that had good years coming out of college hockey. It's a fine line. This was as dead as we've been in a month. I don't remember us playing this poorly. We had no work ethic. Their workers controlled the hockey game. Our goaltender was outstanding, but when you go on the road and allow almost 50 shots on goal, it's not good.
