We were so confused at the start of the ball game, and made some terrible mistakes defensively and couldn't get into our offense. We decided to play a soft game early and we had a difficult time.

I think the whole key to the game was how we executed on offense. We seemed to become a perimeter team early in the game and that's just not our style. Ripon was able to take advantage and start to pull away. When we decided to play solid defense and attack the basket on offense, we were able to make a run.

Defensively we had trouble stopping the running game. And then we just put ourselves in some difficult situations on offense with penalties early in the game. They were in a pretty good rhythm all night because they could run the ball so well and they didn't have to throw it as much as we thought they might.

They gave us a lot of different looks and spread us out. The no-huddle offense that they opened the game up with did not bother us all that much because we run a little no-huddle offense ourselves, I think it was just more of a case that they were ready to go at the start of the game. Late in the first half, this was a one-goal game, but we really dug down and showed the toughness that we've been talking about. We maximized our chances on offense, controlled the ball well, and defensively I thought we made things very difficult for them.

We couldn't get it in and then we made some mistakes. We did everything we wanted to do which was control the ball and keep their offense off the field. We felt we could dominate up front and I thought our offensive line took over the game in the second half.

At the start of the game our bats were asleep, we were asleep. They came out aggressive and we didn't. That was story of the game. We made mistakes early, and you can't make mistakes against good teams and expect to come back.

We were in the stall offense, but we weren't trying to hold the ball. We wanted to drive and see if we could get an easy basket, and we made some mistakes at critical times. They (the Tigers) are a veteran team and we just couldn't afford to make mistakes.

That was a big insurance run. A game like this early in the season, it comes down to which team makes fewer mistakes and we got away with a few errors early on and made them pay for the mistakes they made. Every game counts in the conference. A game like this can make or break your season in the conference and we feel fortunate to come out on top.

It's a tough game to play as far as the way the game was called. It was just so poor that it made it a difficult game to play. In defense of especially our team, we felt like we couldn't do anything. The referee took everything away from what we were trying to do.

We came out really flat in the first quarter, I don't know what the deal was. We weren't making our shots, not doing anything right on offense. Even defensively we didn't play our game. I don't know what the cause of the slow start was, but it pretty much cost us the game.

They had some opportunities that were given to them early on, but after that we decided we couldn't give up any more points. There comes a point where no matter what you do, you fight, scratch, claw. And that's what we tried to do. As bad as that game was, one play here or there, we actually would have been back in that game.

I don't want to go through that again. We got beat up in that game. We couldn't stop the run, we couldn't run the ball, and we turned the ball over. I don't want to remember that game, it ended so badly. We weren't the same for a long time after that. We learned that we've got to play a lot better to win playoff games.
