en It's for kids who just want to have fun, who may not be sports-oriented. It's for everybody, no matter their skill level. It doesn't matter how good they are, it's for them to be on a team, to socialize and to meet people they might not otherwise meet.

en I think the meet will be well balanced and competitive. Nobody is going to be head and shoulders above the other teams. Everybody has a chance and that should make for an interesting meet.

en I thought we could do a little bit better [in the 4x400], but by that point in the meet, we had some nicks and cuts on some guys. That's the risk you take in a conference meet. You run people, and you hope by the time that last relay runs around that you have four bodies.

en The meet really looked worse than it was. We had to count a full point in falls, while [Stanford] had a perfect meet and beat us by four-tenths [of a point].

en I'm optimistic at this point that Mike will be the defensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings. It's just a matter of him getting up there and getting a chance to meet with the owner. Other than that, I don't think it would be hard to have the deal done in place by [Tuesday].

en The point is to meet people and learn about people in a very non-threatening way. We don't really have an agenda except to get to know people because it's harder to hate people you know.
